Robbie Savage mocks Chris Sutton after Rangers win v Celtic
Robbie Savage mocked Chris Sutton after Rangers beat Celtic 3-2 in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Brendan Rodgers lost his second Old Firm derby in a row as Barry Ferguson’s team scored three goals at Parkhead on 16 March.
Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande gave the Light Blues a two-goal lead in the first half before Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate equalised for the hosts.
Hamza Igamane ensured the Gers secured the three points, though, scoring a late winner in the 88th minute of the game.

Sutton laughed at after Rangers win v Celtic
Savage laughed at Sutton after the Bears beat Celtic in the dying minutes at Parkhead.
The former Celtic star shared his thoughts on social media and took a sly dig at the Gers for still being 13 points behind their Old Firm rivals in the Scottish Premiership.
Scottish Premiership table (2024/25) | Points |
1. Celtic | 75 |
2. Rangers | 62 |
But the Macclesfield manager, who hosts the 606 podcast on BBC Radio 5 Live with Sutton, reacted hysterically to the ex-striker’s post and appeared to take a sly dig.
Savage wrote on X (16 March) while sharing Sutton’s post with laughing emojis: “08085909693 looking forward to 606 later.”

Ferguson gets better of Ferguson at Parkhead
Sutton was confident going into the fixture at Parkhead and predicted the Hoops would beat Rangers emphatically.
It wasn’t surprising to see a lot of people go against the Light Blues, considering Ferguson’s lack of experience as a manager.
The interim manager proved against Jose Mourinho in the Europa League, though, that he can go up against any team out there after beating Fenerbahce in the last-16.
Ferguson made just one change at Parkhead and seemed confident with the new system he’s implemented at the Bears.
While the Gers have shown defensive frailty in every fixture under the Scotsman’s management, the last two results are something to build on.
As interim boss, he has now beaten Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers, a feat that will undoubtedly catch the attention of the prospective new owners.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises must be pleased with the recent results as they look to complete their takeover of the Light Blues.
For now, the Ibrox faithful will be pleased to see Sutton proven wrong.
