Kris Commons issues seven goal claim for Celtic v Rangers
Kris Commons has reacted to what Brendan Rodgers said in the build up to the Celtic clash against Rangers.
Gers go into the Old Firm derby at Parkhead on Sunday a colossal 16 points behind their arch rivals.
Rodgers has admitted he sees no real change in the side after Philippe Clement’s sacking.

Barry Ferguson given a challenge by Brendan Rodgers
Commons reacted to Rodgers’ comments and stated that the Hoops are going to gung-ho on their rivals on Sunday.
He admits that if they’ve got chances to go and score seven goals, they will be taking it.
He told PLZ Soccer on 14 March at 21:28: “I think they will want to come and explode on them, first 15-20 minutes, really get after Rangers, try and get two or three goals really, really quickly, get the crowd up, create that atmosphere, and then look to dominate possession.
“And he won’t want to take his foot off the gas.
“I imagine that at his team meetings, they keep pressing.
“If they’ve got chances for four, five, six, seven goals, they’re going to keep going. They’re not just going to be happy with two or three and ease down.
“They want to send out a statement that they’re 16 points in front of Rangers, and they want to make that even bigger.”
Hamza Igamane and co need to step up to win the game for Rangers
For Gers to overcome their fierce rivals, the importance of Hamza Igamane and his teammates stepping up cannot be overstated.
Igamane, a Moroccan striker who has shown flashes of brilliance with nine goals this season, including a hat-trick against Hibs, is pivotal in breaking down Celtic’s formidable defence.
The Hoops have been nearly unstoppable domestically, with only one loss this season, boasting a potent attack and a robust backline.
Igamane’s recent form – highlighted by his aggressive pressing and clinical finishing – offers Rangers a chance to disrupt Celtic’s rhythm, as seen in their 3-0 Old Firm win in January.

His ability to force mistakes, like pressuring Liam Scales into turnovers, can create openings for Gers’ attack.
Beyond Igamane, the Ibrox outfit need a collective effort to cause an upset.
The midfield duo of Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande must replicate their January dominance, winning duels and interceptions to stifle Celtic’s playmakers.
Defensively, despite injuries, Rangers must maintain solidity, with stand-ins like Robin Propper stepping up.
Consistency over 90 minutes, an area of weakness on the road, is crucial.
By combining Igamane’s spark with tactical discipline and relentless energy, Rangers can challenge Celtic’s 11-point lead and reignite the title race.
