Simon Jordan warns Rangers as Barry Ferguson decision on cards
Simon Jordan has cautioned Rangers from making a decision regarding Barry Ferguson once they beat Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
The Gers beat Jose Mourinho’s team 3-1 at the Ulker Stadium on 6 March after a brace from Vaclav Cerny and one goal from Cyriel Dessers.
Ferguson is expected to get the better of Fenerbahce in the second leg at Ibrox on Thursday (13 March) and steer the Light Blues to the quarter-finals of the European competition.
The former Scotland international was appointed as interim manager after Philippe Clement’s dismissal, but will make a case to continue beyond this season if he thrives until the end of the season.

Rangers should avoid Fergsuon managerial decision
Jordan has urged the Bears to be careful about appointing Ferguson as their permanent manager.
The talkSPORT pundit believes there will be suggestions to extend the Gers icon’s stay beyond this season if he gets past Fenerbahce.

Jordan feels otherwise and thinks beating Mourinho’s team will lead to challenges for the Light Blues regarding a decision over their next manager.
Speaking on talkSPORT (13 March, 10:53), Jordan said: “I expect Rangers to go through [against Fenerbahce]. Does that lead to a challenge for them? I suspect it does because, inevitably, people are going to start suggesting that Ferguson is the man for all seasons.
“I would urge them to be careful about that for both his sake and theirs.”
Ferguson to make case after Ibrox success
Ferguson will definitely make a case to remain at Ibrox and manage the team beyond this season once the Bears qualify for the Europa League’s quarter-finals.
The Gers are also set to face Celtic at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership, and a win should almost guarantee the interim manager’s continuity with the team.
While the Light Blues may not appoint Scotsman as their permanent manager, seeing him in a backroom role wouldn’t be surprising.
The Bears need characters like Ferguson, and the prospective new owners must make a place for him at Ibrox.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises are looking to take control of the Glaswegian outfit, but they will need help understanding the club’s culture.
Ferguson has brought positivity around the fanbase since replacing Clement, and some of them would arguably like to see him continue his stint in the dugout.
While the 47-year-old’s career as a manager has been underwhelming, he could potentially be the right person to close the gap on Celtic.
