John Souttar transfer: Rangers ‘exit on cards’ after contract development
John Souttar may leave Rangers in the upcoming transfer window after developments around his contract at Ibrox.
The Scotland international has been one of the best players at the Gers this season but could potentially be sold next summer.
Souttar’s contract at Ibrox will enter its final year at the end of the season, leaving the Light Blues with a decision to make over his future.
With Robin Propper struggling since moving from Twente, it has seemingly become even more imperative to keep the Scottish defender at the Bears.

Rangers to sell Souttar if he doesn’t sign a new contract soon
Souttar should be sold if he doesn’t sign a new contract at the Glaswegian outfit, Mark Guidi says.
The Scottish journalist revealed the centre-back has had an offer on the table for around four months but is yet to commit his future to the Gers.
Guidi believes the Light Blues will have no option but to sell the 28-year-old and explore offers for him if fresh terms can’t be agreed.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (12 March), the journalist said: “Souttar, there’s been a contract offer on the table for three to four months, and he’s not signed it yet. And you’re getting to that stage where he’s got a year to go in the summer.
“Rangers have always said they can’t afford to let players go for nothing. So, what are you doing with Souttar?
“Don’t allow Souttar to get beyond the summer window without signing a new deal. You either get him to sign a deal or see what’s there in the market for him.”
Ibrox will hope for Souttar contract renewal after takeover
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprise could soon make their way to the Glaswegian outfit after holding talks to buy a controlling share.
The prospective new owners will possibly bring some much-needed financial muscle to the Gers, which could help convince Souttar to stay.
It would arguably be imperative for the US consortium to keep hold of their best players if and when they complete their takeover, and they may be able to convince the Scottish defender with better wages.
Cerny is another star Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe should look to keep once they complete their potential acquisition of the Bears.
The Light Blues have struggled defensively this season in the absence of Souttar, making his continuity seemingly of utmost importance.
Leon Balogun has formed a decent partnership with the 28-year-old, but the Nigerian centre-back isn’t getting any younger, and the Glaswegian outfit will soon need to look for his replacement.
Cliton Nsiala had emerged as a bright prospect under Philippe Clement, but Barry Ferguson doesn’t seem to trust the youngster.
Souttar’s signing a new contract would give the hierarchy one less headache as they plan for what’s to come next season.
