Rangers round-up: Trio may be out v Fenerbahce, new takeover timeline emerges
Rangers are set to take on Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League and also are likely to be under new ownership for next season.
The San Francisco 49ers are likely to complete their takeover in the coming weeks and become the new majority owners.
With a lot being reported about the club, Ibrox News has prepared a news round-up from 12 March.

Alan Brazil issues Frank Lampard to Ibrox admission
Alan Brazil has brushed off Ally McCoist’s suggestions that Coventry manager Frank Lampard will leave and move to Ibrox this summer.
Gers hired Barry Ferguson as the interim manager but they’re still understood to be looking for a new permanent boss this summer.
Lampard’s name has been mentioned, but he only moved to the Championship side a few months ago.
McCoist told talkSPORT: “Too late now and you’ll think I’m jumping on the bandwagon because I think they got beat last night but Frank Lampard, I think Frank.”
To which Brazil responded: “What are you talking about? He’s not going to leave Coventry for Rangers.”

Chris Jack reveals new Rangers takeover timeline
Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack reported on 12 March that the first tranche of documents had been exchanged this week.
It’s understood that the takeover is on course to be completed before the end of May.
The San Francisco 49ers will also make at least two appointments to the boardroom.

Gers trio doubtful for Fenerbahce clash
Barry Ferguson provided an update on Robbin Propper ahead of the Fenerbahce clash on 13 March.
He refused to confirm that the centre-back will be fit and said that the club will wait and see.
Competition | Appearances (2024/25) |
Scottish Premiership | 23 |
Europa League | 9 |
The interim boss also cast doubts on two or three players, but Propper was the only one he named.
He said: “Propper had a couple of training sessions. Ideally, I would love to have everyone available, but I will need to wait and see tomorrow morning if I have a full squad available.
“There are two or three I hope have come through the session today.”
