Hamza Igamane transfer: Rangers ‘to get value’ after monster claim

Rangers may get what Hamza Igamane is valued at in the upcoming transfer window amid interest in the striker.

The Moroccan national has had a breakout season at the Gers after making his way into the starting lineup under Philippe Clement.

It isn’t surprising to see several teams from the Premier League eyeing a move for Igamane after his exploits at the Light Blues.

Everton, Sevilla and Olympique Marseille have all been linked with the 22-year-old ahead of next summer, and the Bears could potentially get a decent value for him.

Rangers to get Igamane value in summer transfer window

Interested clubs could possibly pay the Glaswegian outfit what Igamane is valued at, Alex Rae says.

The former Scottish midfielder described the 22-year-old as a monster who can develop into an impressive number nine in the future.

Rae feels Igamane’s potential could see teams paying his current valuation as he can be sold for even more money further down the line.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (11 March), the ex-Gers ace said: “Physically, [Igamane] is a monster. He’s a tank. He would fit a criteria for certain teams that will look at him and go the development in this boy is all going to go in one direction.

“So they may well think it’s a case of paying whatever they think he’s valued at currently because he can go again. So I’m sure they can do that.”

Igamane has been one of the jewels at Rangers this season, and despite his recent dip in form, there’s no doubt that the striker has a bright future ahead.

After moving from AS FAR, the Moroccan star had a slow start to life in Glasgow, but he quickly proved the doubters wrong.

Cyriel Dessers was the first-choice number nine at the Gers initially this season, but the 22-year-old’s performances forced Clement to change his plans.

While the Nigerian has gotten back into the starting lineup after some influential displays, Igamane has kept his place in the team.

Danilo’s injury handed the former Cremonese centre-forward an opportunity to reinstate his place in the pecking order, and he has been key to the Gers’ recent victories, scoring in the 3-1 win over Fenerbahce in the Europa League on 6 March.

The Bears’ recruitment team did an impressive job finding Igamane, and they could potentially have the upper hand in negotiations with interested parties after his performances.

While keeping the 22-year-old for another year would make sense, a big-money offer may tempt the Glaswegian outfit to cash in on him.
