Kris Boyd stunned after what he saw in Rangers v Fenerbahce live on Sky Sports
Rangers made the perfect start to their Europa League round of 16 tie against Fenerbahce on Thursday evening.
Barry Ferguson‘s side took the lead in the sixth minute through Cyriel Dessers in a dream start for the Gers legend who replaced Philippe Clement last month.
However, after being pegged back in the 30th minute, Dessers played a massive role again to assist Vaclav Cerny for the second goal.
The opener left Kris Boyd massively confused after a chaotic moment involving technology.

Rangers take stunning lead in Turkey
The Gers took the lead through a Dessers strike after great work to go round the goalkeeper, but it was a confusing incident.
The ball looked to have been cleared by Caglar Soyuncu, but the referee checked his watch and said that the ball was over the line, in a delayed reaction.
Boyd reacted to the incident live on Sky Sports (6 March, 19:51 pm), and was left scratching his head, saying: “That looked terrific, could it have been over? It’s a goal for Rangers? It’s a goal.
“The referee is checking his watch, but I think it’s a goal to Rangers and if it is it’s Cyriel Dessers.
“It is over the line, it’s 1-0 to Rangers, that’s perfect timing.”

Ferguson needs to keep Rangers composed
After getting themselves back in front, Ferguson needs to ensure that his players keep their composure and do not allow Jose Mourinho’s side to get back into he clash.
If the Gers can come away with a positive result, they will fancy their chances to hold on at Ibrox next week in the return leg.
Europa League (league-phase) | Played | GD | Points |
1. Lazio | 8 | +12 | 19 |
2. Athletic Club | 8 | +8 | 19 |
3. Man United | 8 | +7 | 18 |
4. Tottenham | 8 | +8 | 17 |
5. Frankfurt | 8 | +4 | 16 |
6. Lyon | 8 | +8 | 15 |
7. Olympiakos | 8 | +6 | 15 |
8. Rangers | 8 | +6 | 14 |
Given the bleak circumstances of their season so far, sitting 16 points behind Celtic and eliminated from both domestic cups, going further in the Europa League represents the only chance of success.
If Ferguson could somehow win the competition, he could cement his place in the dugout and be handed the job permanently.
However, focus right now must be on keeping concentration levels high in the second-half and turning up at Ibrox in the reverse fixture, something which the Light Blues have struggled with recently.
An all-important tie at Ibrox is usually bread and butter for the Gers but their form there lately does not provide hope, given that they have lost their last three, to Queen’s Park, St Mirren, and Motherwell.
Ferguson will be hoping to keep the momentum in their favour and that the crowd in Govan can spur his side on to progress to the quarter-finals.
