Jose Mourinho to Rangers: ‘Big’ admission made after Ibrox question
Jose Mourinho has made a big admission after being asked whether he would manage Rangers in the future.
Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe are in talks to take control at Ibrox and could potentially start looking for a new permanent manager soon.
Patrick Stewart hired Barry Ferguson temporarily after Philippe Clement struggled to get the best out of the Light Blues this season.
The interim boss likely knows he won’t last at the Gers beyond this season, and a new permanent manager will soon be hired.

Rangers learn Jose Mourinho stance on managerial role
Mourinho is open to joining the Glaswegian outfit if presented with an opportunity further down the line.
The Portuguese manager hasn’t ruled out moving to the Bears, but is focused on his current role in Turkey for the time being as Fenerbahce face Ferguson’s team in the Europa League at home on Thursday (6 March).

When asked whether he could see himself at Celtic or the Light Blues, the 62-year-old head coach praised the Old Firm teams and left the door open to being a manager at the two Scottish Premiership outfits.
Speaking to the media via The Scottish Sun SPORT (5 March), Mourinho said: “Celtic and Rangers, they are big clubs with big fan bases, with big emotions, big responsibilities, big expectations. Why not?
“But in this moment, I have a job. Celtic has a fantastic coach like Brendan. Rangers have Ferguson now, so full respect for them, and I’m not searching for a new job.”
Ibrox would embrace Mourinho as their next manager
The Ibrox faithful would love to see Mourinho at the Gers should he become the next permanent manager.
Philippe Clement sapped the energy at the Glaswegian outfit as their domestic season has all but come to an end after being eliminated from the Scottish Cup.
The Belgian manager was rightfully sacked, but Ferguson has found life difficult at the Light Blues as well, losing to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership at home on Saturday (1 March).
Mourinho has amassed a cult following over the years due to his success at various clubs and his no-nonsense approach at times.
The Portuguese manager’s leadership and authority are some of the qualities missing at the Bears, who find themselves 16 points behind Celtic in the league table.
While the 62-year-old’s prospects have dwindled over the years, the Ibrox faithful would nonetheless be excited to see him manage the Glaswegian outfit, but it remains to be seen whether that will happen down the line.
