Vaclav Cerny transfer ‘on the cards’ amid Rangers takeover development

Rangers need to shell out a reported £8million fee in the summer to permanently seal the services of Vaclav Cerny.

The Czech Republic international moved to Glasgow in the summer on a season-long loan from German side Wolfsburg.

He has been an important player in the final third this season, scoring 15 goals and providing four assists in all competitions.

Ibrox permanent transfer on the cards for Vaclav Cerny?

The Ibrox faithful certainly will be thrilled with the impact Cerny has had this season and would undoubtedly want him to stay beyond the summer.

The same was the case with Abdallah Sima, but finances meant that a deal was not possible for the club.

However, now with the San Francisco 49ers takeover agreement reached in principle, Gers can plan for bigger things this summer.

Per the Scottish Sun, it will cost them £8million to sign Cerny permanently – something that is well within their means.

It’s also understood that there will be further investment down the line – which could happen as early as the summer – paving the way for the 27-year-old to join.

Paraag Marathe must priortise signing Vaclav Cerny permanently once the Rangers takeover is done

Once Paraag Marathe and the 49ers Enterprises finalise their takeover of the club and secure Cerny on a permanent deal, the benefits could be substantial.

The dynamic winger has already shown flashes of brilliance at Ibrox, with his pace, flair and goal-scoring ability adding a new dimension to Gers’ attack.

A permanent signing would lock in this talent, providing stability and continuity as the club transitions under new ownership.

With the 49ers’ financial backing, rooted in a $6billion NFL franchise, Rangers could negotiate a favorable deal, potentially turning Cerny into a cornerstone of a reinvigorated squad aimed at dominating domestically and competing in the Champions League.

Marathe’s expertise in player trading, honed over 24 years with the 49ers, could also see Cerny’s value soar, offering future profit potential.

For fans, keeping a player of his calibre signals ambition, aligning with the consortium’s vision of success in Europe and a robust transfer strategy, making this a shrewd move for Rangers’ immediate and long-term prospects.
