Ally McCoist reacts during Rangers loss v Motherwell – ‘Embarrassing’
Ally McCoist was not a happy man as Rangers lost 2-1 to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
The Light Blues welcomed the Steelmen home on 1 March, with Luke Armstron and Tom Sparrow handing the visitors a two-goal lead before the break.
Barry Ferguson saw his team go down at Ibrox for the second consecutive game after a similar situation at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock on 26 February.
While the Gers were able to get the better of Derek McInnes’ team, they failed to do so at Ibrox against Stuart Kettlewell’s side.

Rangers embarrass during Motherwell loss
McCoist wasn’t pleased with what he saw from the Glaswegian outfit after the opening 45 minutes.
The Gers icon reacted on social media after the Light Blues went into the break with a two-goal deficit.

During the break, McCoist had a one-word message on X (1 March): “Embarrassing.”
Cyriel Dessers scored for Rangers early on in the second half, but the Nigerian striker should have done better as his wayward touch led to Motherwell scoring their first goal.

Ferguson handed first loss v Motherwell
Ferguson was expected to make changes at Ibrox after being appointed on an interim basis, but fans haven’t seen much during the initial period.
Patrick Stewart rightly sacked Philippe Clement, and the former Gers midfielder’s appointment seemed like the correct decision.
The interim boss had the ability to bring the fanbase together as the Light Blues look to end the season on a high note.
Ferguson has evidently struggled, and the backroom staff of Billy Dodds, Allan McGregor and Neil McCann hasn’t made much of a difference.
Cetic are miles ahead in the Scottish Premiership, and the Bears’ domestic season has likely come to a close.
The Gers’ only chance of redeeming the season lies in the Europa League, but considering recent performances, Fenerbahce arguably have a bigger chance of qualifying for the next round.
Ferguson will take on Jose Mourinho’s team over two legs, but supporters may have already given up hope after the Motherwell defeat.
This season is a write-off for the Glaswegian outfit, and they will have some massive decisions to make come next summer.
