49ers may have made Rangers demand already after Philippe Clement sack
Rangers have been told to get some of their dirty work done before the 49ers Enterprises complete their potential takeover.
The 49ers are in talks at Ibrox to invest in the Gers and take majority control from the current hierarchy.
Patrick Stewart sacked Philippe Clement after the Bears lost 2-0 to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership at Ibrox on Saturday (22 February).
Barry Ferguson has taken the interim charge of the Light Blues, and the 49ers may have played a role in how things have transpired in recent days.

Ally McCoist moots 49ers Enterprises hands in Clement sack
Ally McCoist believes the 49ers Enterprises may have had a role to play in Clement’s dismissal.
The Gers icon suggested the American consortium could have potentially asked for the Belgian manager’s dismissal when Alan Brazil questioned the timing of everything.
McCoist feels the Glaswegian outfit should have waited for the possible takeover to happen before getting rid of Clement.
Speaking on talkSPORT (26 February, 6:08), Brazil said: “Someone told me the 49ers, who own Leeds, are going to buy a bit of Rangers. So why would you do what they’ve done if that’s the case? You would sit tight and try and sort the deal, then say who do you want.”
McCoist responded: “100 per cent you would. Unless they’ve told them to do it before they get in, get some of the dirty work done before we come in. You hope that’s the case.”

Clement sack the right call at Ibrox
Clement’s sacking at Ibrox was the right call, as a lot of fans had turned against him, breeding negativity around the Gers.
The Belgian manager was lucky to remain in his job after the Light Blues lost to Queen’s Park and were eliminated from the Scottish Cup.
Under the 50-year-old head coach this season, the Bears had seen their prospects diminish, and they arguably have nothing left to play for domestically.
Celtic are leading the Scottish Premiership by a fair distance, and it doesn’t seem realistic for the Gers to catch their Old Firm rivals.

The Europa League was Clement’s only salvation, but with him in charge, the supporters would have put extreme pressure on the team to perform, which could have been detrimental.
With Ferguson’s arrival at Ibrox seemingly done to appease fans, there should be some sort of short-term change in the Bears’ performances.
The Glaswegian outfit has evidently written off this season and will start anew next summer, not for the first time in recent years.
If Paraag Marathe and the 49ers Enterprises complete their takeover, it will be interesting to see who they appoint in the dugout.
