Rangers v St Mirren: Philippe Clement needs to rectify major blunder
Rangers started the first half extremely poorly at Ibrox against St Mirren on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts seemed to be playing with no real urgency and they even made a few errors that could’ve proven to be costly.
They even failed to create a big chance and that was perhaps down to the lack of movement in the final third.

Rangers need to axe Cyriel Dessers at half-time
Cyriel Dessers was handed the start after impressive recent performances and he led the line with Hamza Igamane playing as the number 10.
However, the decision to start the Nigeria international proved to be a bad one and Philippe Clement needs to take him off at half-time.
Dessers has only managed to complete three passes all half, showing just how he’s struggled to get involved. (Sofascore)
He’s in fact lost possession more times than he’s completed a pass and with Danilo on the bench, it makes sense for Clement to make the change.
The Belgian can also look to bring on Tom Lawrence and Nedim Bajrami and play Igamane as the lone striker.

Ibrox is nervous after a poor first half display
The hosts started the game poorly and Jack Butland was lucky not to concede a goal after a few poor passes inside the penalty area.
Had the St Mirren attackers been more clinical, the Englishman certainly would be facing the wrath of Clement at half-time.
It’s important to remove Dessers as he’s been terrible and bring on someone more dynamic.

Igamane was rightly not sent off and despite him being on a yellow, he cannot be removed at the break.
Ibrox is undoubtedly nervous as it’s been a poor first-half display and things need to improve soon.
Clement is already a man under pressure and if he fails to get the job done in the second half, more questions will be asked of him.
