San Francisco 49ers appear to be closing in on a Rangers takeover as things have gathered steam over the past few days.
Despite the fragmented ownership structure at the Ibrox outfit, some of the shareholders appear to be on board with getting this deal over the line.
With plenty unfolding and being reported about the takeover, Ibrox News has prepared a round-up of all the updates surrounding the saga.

The 49ers have encountered their first major breakthrough as they look to complete the takeover.

It may have caused a hindrance due to dual-ownership rules but that problem is only likely to come up if both teams participate in the same UEFA competition.

Ibrox matchday experience a priority for Paraag Marathe
Marathe has identified that more needs to be done in order to enhance the matchday experience for the Ibrox faithful.
Give Me Sport sources report that it is one of his initial plans once the takeover is finalised, to do something in order to change it.
Detailed plans have not yet been revealed but it is something he surely intends to work on.

Gers shares held by Dave King expected to be sold to San Francisco 49ers
Dave King is willing to part ways with his shareholding in the club as he is open to new ownership.
He wants his sale to Maraathe to be the “lasting legacy” of his association with the Ibrox outfit.
King hopes that the other shareholders at the club follow suit and let the 49ers become the majority owners.
He said: “I believe that the present investors have ‘investment fatigue’ and that any new investor should be of unquestionable wealth to not only inject much-needed funds into the club immediately, but also have funds in reserve to support the rebuilding programme that will be required both on and off the pitch.”
The former Gers chairman also confirmed that while no deal has been done, things have been progressing well.
