Rangers ace Tavernier sends one-word message after horror injury, Gerrard reacts
Rangers ace James Tavernier and former manager Steven Gerrard have sent a message after an injury blow was confirmed.
The 33-year-old has been a staple of Philippe Clement‘s starting line-up this season, notching three goals and five assists from right-back.
Meanwhile, the former Liverpool man recently left his role in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq, sparking rumours that he could return to Ibrox.
Both men have reacted to a horror injury suffered by former Light Blues ace Borna Barisic.

Rangers star James Tavernier sends injury message
Former Gers star Borna Barisic took to Instagram (20 February) to confirm a spell on the sidelines after suffering a horrific knee injury just ten minutes into his La Liga debut with Leganes.
James Tavernier reacted, commenting on the post with “brate” which is a Serbian word that means brother and a muscle and heart emoji.
Gerrard followed by simply sending two heart emojis.
Rangers fans will wish Barisic well
The Croatian defender enjoyed his time in Govan, making 234 appearances for the Ibrox outfit, notching ten goals and 54 assists from left-back.
He was a vital part of Gerrard’s squad that won the Scottish Premiership title in the 2020/21 season and the side that reached the Europa League final under Giovani Van Bronckhurst the following campaign.
The 32-year-old also won the Scottish FA Cup and the League Cup in his time with the Light Blues but eventually moved to Trabzonspor on a free transfer for the 2024/25 season.

He struggled for game time in Turkey and decided to make a loan switch to the Spanish outfit on the final day of the winter transfer window.
Given his contributions for the Gers, supporters will be hoping for a quick recovery and wishing the Croatia international well.
The messages from Tavernier and Gerrard show how much Barisic is thought of within the Bears circles and it is a devastating blow for the defender.
Hopefully, he can bounce back and make the most of his spell in Spain but it will not be in this campaign due to the brutal injury.
