UEFA twist emerges as ‘Huge’ Rangers takeover news emerges from Ibrox

Rangers will need to be wary of UEFA regulations after news emerged of a possible takeover, Dan Plumley has warned.

Paraag Marathe, president of the 49ers Enterprises is reportedly said to be in advanced talks over a takeover alongside other American investors.

Football finance expert, Plumley, admits that it would be game-changing at Ibrox with the need for investment clear after recent public struggles in Govan.

UEFA regulations emerge in huge Rangers takeover

According to Plumley, UEFA’s financial sustainability regulations would ensure that things would not change overnight despite the investment.

It is said that any takeover would be complicated given the number of shareholders but will be worth millions to Rangers moving forward.

It’s a really interesting one this, especially from Rangers perspective,” Plumley exclusively told Ibrox News.

There has been a clear need for investment as we have said previously and this could be significant.

Any deal (assuming it’s a full takeover) would still be complicated given the number of shareholders Rangers have but this could be multi-million in terms of a deal and could be game-changing.

You have to be careful of UEFA’s Financial Sustainability Regulations of course so it wouldn’t change overnight but this would be a huge takeover if it goes through.

Rangers miles behind Celtic

Rangers’ need for investment has been made very clear by the performance of the Ibrox club both on and off the pitch, with their rivals leaving them for dead.

With Celtic spending big money on the likes of Adam Idah and Arne Engels this season alone, Rangers have been forced to work in mainly loan signings.

Clement is facing heavy pressure but has been backed by Patrick Stewart, with these financial constraints another reason behind that.

Despite the possible takeover being huge in the future, this warning shows it wouldn’t change things immediately at Ibrox.
