Rangers v St Mirren postponement latest as Met Office issue weather warnings
Rangers are set to take on St Mirren on Saturday as the Met Office issues weather warnings all across the United Kingdom.
The Gers are set to host the Saints on 22 February and will be looking to shorten the 13-point gap between themselves and first-placed Celtic.
Philippe Clement will no doubt be looking for a better performance against Stephen Robinson’s men than what they’ve put on display over the last couple of weeks against the likes of Hearts and Queen’s Park.

Celtic | 1st | 69 |
Rangers | 2nd | 56 |

Rangers v St Mirren could experience some weather problems
There has been a yellow weather warning put out just south of Glasgow on Friday for rain and while there might not be anything in place for Saturday, it could still end up being a cause for concern for Clement and his men.
In fact, there are no weather warnings across the United Kingdom at all on Saturday which means that games should go ahead.
However, there are yellow weather warnings for Sunday which could end up being another reason for worry but at the moment, it feels unlikely that the clash will be called off [Met Office].
Philippe Clement needs to get one over on St Mirren
One of the Gers’ four losses in the Scottish Premiership this season came at the hands of St Mirren.
The Saints ended up leaving Paisley as 2-1 victors after Caolan Boyd-Munce managed to net a 93rd-minute winner to nick all the points.
In fact, if it wasn’t for Danilo scoring in the 61st minute, Clement’s men could have been subject to a defeat anyway as they weren’t the ones to open up the scoring.
And, now that the Ibrox outfit have been knocked out of the Scottish Cup thanks to an embarrassing 1-0 defeat to Queen’s Park, their chances of silverware are extremely slim with the Scottish Premiership all but done.

Of course, the Gers have also made their way into the latter stages of the Europa League but it a competition stacked with wealthier rivals, it looks a tall order to think the Gers can go all the way.
Only time will tell what the future holds but if Clement doesn’t manage to beat the Saints on Saturday, it’s hard to see how he’d have a leg to stand on regarding keeping his job, despite what Patrick Stewart said about keeping him in his role.
