There has been scepticism among the supporters, but a significant claim has been made regarding the tentative arrival of the new owners.
49ers takeover of Rangers to be concrete by next week
Next week could be pivotal at the Glaswegian outfit as a concrete update regarding the takeover is expected, Andy Devlin says.
The Scottish Sun journalist has revealed that there have been talks of documents being drawn up as the American consortium look to buy the Bears.
Devlin expects significant movement to happen in the coming days as the Gers wait for a change in ownership.
Speaking on The Scottish Sun SPORT (20 February), the journalist said: “There’s talk of legal documents being drawn up in many cases. I really think over the course of the weekend, at the beginning of next week, there will be something concrete from either the American side of things or back in Glasgow.”

Rangers fans will welcome the 49ers with open arms after enduring some tumultuous times over recent years.
Last summer, there was uncertainty at the Bears after James Bisgrove and John Bennett decided to leave, unravelling several issues at the Glaswegian outfit.

Patrick Stewart’s arrival at Ibrox in December led to fresh hope among the fanbase, but things have quickly turned sour after the new chief executive officer’s inaction regarding the Belgian manager’s dismissal.
Rangers have failed to compete with Celtic over the last few seasons in the Scottish Premiership, which has been a significant source of contention for fans.
