Rangers to receive ‘massive cash injection’ to sign new Ibrox stars
Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen will be rubbing their hands as Rangers stand to receive a major cash injection that would fund a summer spending spree.
Rangers made Rafael Fernandes, who arrived on loan from Lille, their only signing of the winter transfer window due to financial constraints.
Hierarchical mismanagement has led to the Scottish Premiership giants being unable to compete with Celtic, who added Jota and Jeffrey Schlupp to their ranks in the winter, in the transfer market.
However, that could all be set to change as the Ibrox outfit could receive a major cash injection ahead of the summer.

San Francisco 49ers in investment talks with Rangers
According to the Record, 49ers Enterprises, the investment group behind the San Francisco 49ers, are in talks with Rangers over a takeover.
The newspaper reported via their website on 19 February that discussions over a multi-million-pound investment are already at an advanced stage.
This could see the Glasgow giants receive a ‘major cash investment’ that could in turn be used to fund new signings in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United chief and 49ers supremo, Paraag Marathe, is leading the push to invest in the Premiership heavyweights with hopes to restore them to the top of Scottish football.

49ers want biggest share at Ibrox
While the minute details of the proposal are yet to be known, the 49ers are determined to buy enough shares to become Rangers’ biggest shareholder.
That way the Marathe-led consortium would also like to demand seats in the boardroom and have control over the Light Blues.
The current structure of shareholders in Govan is in such a way that shares are split between multiple parties, thus making a takeover complicated.
However, Rangers would have much more leeway in the transfer market if the acquisition is to go through.
It would also give them access to the 49ers’ data-driven technology for player recruitment.
The 49ers have been the sole owners of Leeds since July 2023 and the Whites are already on course to earn promotion to the Premier League as they sit atop the Championship table.
It remains to be seen if they can have a similar impact at Ibrox if the negotiations reach a fruitful conclusion.
