Rangers news: Finance Expert reveals sale price amid £18m twist
Kieran Maguire has shared how much each Rangers share was sold for after an 18million revelation.
The finance expert revealed a document from Companies House on X showing that the club had issued new shares for £18million.
The shares were classified as “ordinary” and they were received for filing on 18 February.
Team | Matches | Points |
1. Celtic | 26 | 69 |
2. Rangers | 26 | 56 |
3. Aberdeen | 26 | 38 |
4. Dundee United | 26 | 37 |
5. Hibs | 26 | 34 |
Rangers shares were sold at 20p each
After revealing that shares worth £18million were issued, Maguire went a step further to explain the breakdown.
Given his specialist knowledge of all things football finance, he confirmed that each share was sold for the price of 20p.
Via X, he wrote: “I can confirm the shares were sold for 20p each.”
This probably means that 18million shares were sold but the value generated from them was £3.6million.
It is unclear as to whether or not these new shares are fresh investments into the club or debt equity being converted into shares.
Patrick Stewart needs to sort out a lot behind the scenes
Patrick Stewart has a mammoth task on his hands to sort out the mess behind the scenes at Ibrox.
While it’s been two months since he joined the club as CEO, he’s already having fans question whether or not he’s the right one for the job.
The club are in shambles on and off the pitch and the popular thing to do would’ve been to part ways with Philippe Clement.
However, he’s continued to stick with the Belgian even though the club can easily afford what it will take to sack him.
Stewart also needs to sort out the club’s finances, albeit indirectly, and ensure everything that can be done is being done to raise the revenue streams.
The table above shows how big the gap is between Gers and their rivals Celtic, but that’s only on the pitch.
Unfortunately, the gap off the pitch is even wider as the Hoops know exactly what to do to take their team to the next level with the decision makers at Ibrox playing catch up.
