Rangers ‘cannot ignore’ Hamza Igamane bid as £30m development drops
Rangers may find it impossible to ignore a bid to sell Hamza Igamane after recent developments, Dan Plumley has said.
The Moroccan star has been the highlight of a shocking season at Ibrox, with realistically the last chance of silverware being the Europa League.
After signing from FAR Rabat for only £1.5million, Rangers could already be set to make a massive profit on Igamane, with Premier League clubs watching closely.
Rangers to accept huge Hamza Igamane bid
While speculation was rife during the winter transfer window, with the likes of Everton and Newcastle interested in a deal, Igamane stayed put at Ibrox.
Ibrox Noise even went as far as to report that Tottenham were considering a £30million bid for the African star before the end of the winter window.
Plumley, a football finance expert, admitted that bids like that may not come around too often for clubs in Scotland, who would have to immediately consider it.
“Ultimately, that is the industry,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“Whoever you are, whatever club, whatever league, there is always a number that you cannot ignore.
“If that was to be a record, you can’t really say no to that, assuming the player wants to go as it’s always a negotiation when you’re talking about that kind of money.
“Could they afford to turn down a bid of £30million? I think you would have to have a look at that bid and it did come in, and it was a genuine bid because you’re not going to get that opportunity come around too many times.

“For context as an example, to generate that kind of money, you’re talking a really deep run into the Europa League as an example, which is not easy to do.
“Sometimes, money talks and if you’re going to get that kind of offer, you’ve got to look seriously at that, even if you’re a club as powerful as Rangers.”
Hamza Igamane to leave Rangers in 2025
There is a strong possibility that Igamane could complete one season at Ibrox and move on, with Philippe Clement potentially not far behind him, as he faces the sack.
It would represent a huge summer of change at Rangers, but it’s clear that any Scottish club would have to accept that kind of money, especially one with the issues that are at Ibrox right now.
