Paul Scholes laughs at Rangers claim as Celtic fan speaks out on Sky special

Paul Scholes saw the funny side of a Rangers claim made by a Celtic supporter after the shock Scottish Cup exit against Queen’s Park.

Rangers have become somewhat of a laughing stock to other supporters this season, with it looking likely that they will end the campaign without any silverware.

Having lost the Scottish League Cup final to Celtic and seemingly being too far behind The Bhoys in the league, the Scottish Cup was their one real chance of achieving some form of success.

That was to be, with Rangers embarrassed by Queen’s Park on home soil in a 1-0 defeat, in what many labelled as the biggest upset in the history of the competition.

It certainly provided hurt and embarrassment for the Light Blues, but also ammunition for other clubs to fire back at Philippe Clement’s side with Scholes finding the funny side of a recent claim made.

Paul Scholes in hysterics after Rangers dig

Rangers’ loss to Queen’s Park was catastrophic, there’s no real way of hiding from that. Not only did it all but end any hopes of success this season, it provided a platform for Celtic supporters to base jokes from with the Light Blues facing the brunt of one made on the latest episode of Sky Sports’ The Overlap.

Celtic supporter Quinny said: “Rangers fans have been saying ‘It’s 25 years to the day since Inverness at Celtic’. They’re probably the two biggest upsets but it’s quite funny that they wanted to remind us of that and get a taste of their own medicine. It was a laugh factory in Glasgow.”

Scholes burst out into laughter at the claim with Jamie Carragher also seeing the funny side of it.

Rangers fans will not see that side, instead, they have to accept the regression that has occurred at Ibrox this season with various factors playing a telling role in their demise.

Time for change at Ibrox

This season has been a disaster for the Light Blues and quite frankly, it will not get any better until some big decisions are made among the hierarchy who are responsible for several failures of their own.

Clement has been the standout cause of the regression, and to think he is still in a job despite the countless failures is quite astounding.

Changes are needed at Ibrox if success is going to be achieved over the coming few seasons with a severe lack of ambition on show if they fail to act on that.
