Ibrox song singer reveals Rangers refuse to pay him in explosive new rant
Rangers have been accused of not paying the singer whose songs play at Ibrox.
The Light Blues are stuck in yet another crisis after they were embarrassingly knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Queen’s Park on Sunday (9 February).
While there have been calls to sack Philippe Clement at Ibrox, they may not have the financial means to do so (Scottish Sun).
Over the last few months, the lack of funds at the Light Blues has been clear, with little transfer activity just the tip of the iceberg after an explosive new rant.
Damien Hendry blasts Rangers in explosive rant
Damien Hendry has accused the Bears of refusing to pay him for performances at Edmiston House.
The singer who performs vocals on ‘4 Lads’ and ‘The Famous RFC’ revealed that the Glaswegian outfit instead tried to offer free tickets to the event when he asked about payment.
In Hendry’s explosive rant, he called the Gers a joke and mentioned standards falling off a cliff at Ibrox.
The singer posted on X (11 February): “Our beloved Rangers are a joke from top to bottom. Got told recently that my bio ‘said it all’ when I defended something, but let me assure you I’m no friend of the club.
“They play my songs every week at Ibrox yet wouldn’t even pay me to sing at Edmiston House when I had the cheek to ask for payment instead of free tickets to an event they wanted me to perform at.
“Paying Rangers legends and hosts off the telly thousands in fees to appear at these nights but won’t pay their entertainment a couple of hundred quid. Just another in a long line of examples of the standards and practices at Rangers falling off a cliff.”

Rangers accusations are embarrassing
While Ibrox witnessing elimination from the Scottish Cup was embarrassing enough, fans will be even more disappointed knowing that one of their own has been mistreated by the Bears.
Patrick Stewart has questions to answer regarding Clement, but now there are even greater concerns regarding the treatment of an artist by the Glaswegian outfit.
While the failures of the previous leadership can’t be pinned on the current board, there needs to be an immediate change in how they operate.
Stewart’s arrival saw fresh hope from the Ibrox faithful, but even the former Manchester United chief seems reluctant to make the big calls at the Light Blues.
Clement should have been sacked right after being knocked out of the Scottish Cup, and it isn’t encouraging to see the hierarchy stick by him.
Rangers fans will make their voices heard in the coming weeks at Ibrox if there aren’t any developments regarding the appointment of a new manager.
It won’t take long for the supporters to turn on Stewart despite his short-stint in Glasgow.
