Barry Ferguson ‘ashamed and embarrassed’ after what’s happened at Rangers
Barry Ferguson will be “ashamed” and “embarrassed” after what’s happened at Rangers.
Rangers shocking crashed out of the Scottish Cup in a 1-0 defeat against Queen’s Park on Sunday at Ibrox, with the fans making their feelings clear after.
Calum Ferrie saved James Tavernier’s penalty in stoppage time as the second-division team humiliated the Gers at home.
Philippe Clement is facing more sack pressure than ever and has left Patrick Stewart with a massive decision to make in the coming days.
Rangers developments shameful at Ibrox
Ferguson would feel humiliated if he was part of the Bears’ squad right now, Mark Guidi says.
The renowned journalist has slammed the Glaswegian outfit, who look set for a trophyless season.
Celtics lead the Scottish Premiership by 13 points, with only the Europa League left outside of that to lift silverware under Clement for the second time.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (10 February), Guidi said: “Ferguson would be ashamed and embarrassed if he was a Rangers player just now.
“Not even on the back of [the Queen’s Park defeat] but before that. They’re 13 points behind Celtic in February. Losing the League Cup. You’re now out of the Scottish Cup. You’re going to have another trophyless season as you potentially watch Celtic win another treble.
“They should be embarrassed and ashamed.”

Ibrox to witness another trophyless season
With nothing left to play for domestically, the Light Blues are enduring one of their toughest periods.
Clement appeared to be finally getting the best out of his players, but as usual, he took one step forward only to take another three back.
The Belgian manager doesn’t seem to be the right man for the job, as has been highlighted by the Bears’ inconsistent displays away from home.
Ibrox has been a relative stronghold for the Glaswegian outfit, but losing to Queen’s Park shows the players’ lack of mentality.
It feels like most of the squad crumbles under pressure, which also showcases the inability of the manager to bring the best out of them when needed.
The Light Blues will next face Hearts at Tynecastle on 16 February, and a decision regarding Clement could be expected in the coming days.
There’s no place to hide for some of the players and the former Monaco head coach.
The Ibrox faithful will likely make their voices heard if the 50-year-old is still in the dugout when the next home game comes around.
