Rangers can pay millions to seal Vaclav Cerny transfer after new reveal
Rangers will soon be hit with the decision to sign Vaclav Cerny permanently or leave him in the past, Dan Plumley has said.
On loan from Wolfsburg at Ibrox, Cerny is said to be valued at £6.75million for any permanent transfer in the summer (Scottish Sun).
The Czechia international has been vital for Philippe Clement, similar to Abdallah Sima last season, who is now playing for Brest after no permanent agreement was reached with Brighton.
Vaclav Cerny to sign for Rangers
Plumley, a football finance expert, admitted that the Bears could certainly hit that £6.75m figure, but much will depend on what happens between now and the end of the season.
“I think they can afford it,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“They can stretch to that sort of figure, certainly again from the outside looking in, that would be conceivable that you could see them getting to that sort of fee.
“Do they want to? How much do they see that as an achievable figure?
“Certainly, their current position is going to factor into that, and we know the difference between the Champions League and Europa League and where they are off the pace in the league.

“I think it will depend on the next few months and when that option to possibly buy him kicks in, but they could stretch to that is always the case for a club like Rangers.
“It is an achievable figure, I guess it’s whether or not they want to and it will depend on how the season finishes off for them.”
Vaclav Cerny flying at Rangers
The flying winger has been instrumental to any success in the Scottish Premiership and the Europa League, with his goal contributions massive.
With West Ham previously named as favourites to seal a permanent move in the summer (Fichajes), questions would be asked if Rangers miss out.
Cerny has 14 goals and five assists across all competitions this season and will be looking to add to that at Ibrox before he either leaves or signs permanently.
This will no doubt be the story of the summer for those around Ibrox.
