Ianis Hagi stipulations emerge ahead of new Rangers contract saga
Rangers star Ianis Hagi may have placed stipulations on the record ahead of fresh contract talks at Ibrox, Dan Plumley has said.
After finally resolving the contract saga that saw him frozen out by Philippe Clement, it was revealed that the Romanian is entering the final months of his deal this season (Daily Record).
Plumley, a football finance expert, admitted that new contract negotiations will be interesting after the drama that unfolded earlier in the season.
“They will certainly be interesting negotiations,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“I guess that is the long and short of it.
“It is always all about negotiation, whether or not in those conversations around the first kick-off with his situation, he may have put something in there on the record to be considered, we don’t know.
“There may be other things here that have transpired throughout these conversations that we’re not aware of, and that is where you’re looking at the bigger picture of the squad.

“It all forms part of that bigger picture and it will come down to the negotiation between the club and the player, and if he is performing well like he is, he is doing his case no harm and that is an interesting consideration if he keeps that up.”

With clubs such as Genoa lining up to sign him this winter before running out of time, Hagi certainly has plenty of options on the table.
It is no secret how much the playmaker loves Rangers and Ibrox though, and that could be the saving grace between him leaving and signing on for more years in Govan.
With the transfer window shut, Patrick Stewart has to make this a priority.
