Rangers prepare to sell Ridvan Yilmaz with offer sent to Ibrox

Rangers are planning to sell Ridvan Yilmaz permanently, according to Fanatik.

The Turkish outlet reported on 1 February that the Bears want to recoup a transfer fee to sanction an exit for the Ibrox defender in the next 48 hours.

Besiktas are already said to have made their move for Yilmaz (Gokmen Ozcan) but only want a loan.

Rangers value the left-back at £4.1million (Sabah), with Philippe Clement recently admitting that he had picked up a small injury at Ibrox.

Rangers plan late Ridvan Yilmaz transfer

Despite playing 20 times across all competitions this season, the defender has never really cemented his place under Clement at Ibrox.

Jefte is preferred at left-back, with interest growing in him from Chelsea (The Scottish Sun), with Yilmaz playing when needed further forward or as an extra body at the back.

Returning to his homeland and his former club could be very attractive for Yilmaz, who has never made it public that he wants to leave, but rather fight for his place in Govan.

With rogue appearances at left-wing and right-back this season so far though, it is clear that he is not the perfect first option for Clement in his preferred role.

That could be the difference maker over a potential move.

If the Bears have limited resources or time to find a replacement, it is very likely that Yilmaz will stick around at Ibrox and Auchenhowie, which would be good news too.
