Rangers transfer round-up: Inter Milan cause issue as £4.1m exit news emerges
Rangers are still anticipated to have plenty of transfer activity still to go, with both incomings and outgoings mooted.
Gers fans’ spirits have lifted following Thursday’s 2-1 win over Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League’s league phase finale (30 January), ensuring a bye to the last 16 of the competition.
But Philippe Clement could be helped further by more new arrivals, as Nils Koppen works around the clock in an attempt to improve the squad.

Cagliari intent on securing Dessers signing from Rangers
Serie A outfit Cagilari have made Cyriel Dessers their number one target for the remainder of the window, according to Rai News (31 January).
With the Italians set to lose striker Gianluca Lapadula to Spezia on loan, interest in Dessers has ramped up and Rangers could find this window as the right opportunity to sell.
The doubt is whether Cagliari can afford the Nigerian on a permanent deal, with his price having risen after recent goalscoring performances in a blue shirt.
Rangers interested in former Liverpool midfielder Clark
Rangers could explore the possibility of signing ex-Liverpool star Bobby Clark on a loan deal, according to DaveOCKOP (29 January).
Clark left Anfield for RB Salzburg last summer and the 19-year-old is now seeking game time for the rest of the season, with EFL Championship clubs also circling.
The young midfielder was part of the Liverpool side to have won the Carabao Cup last term, and has played as an England youth international while also eligible through grandparents for Malaysia.

Besiktas locked in negotiations over Yilmaz deal
Rangers and Besiktas remain in detailed discussion over Ridvan Yilmaz, who could still leave Ibrox according to Turkish news outlet Sabah (31 January).
Yilmaz, 23, could be sold to raise funds by the Gers who reportedly want £4.1million for his services from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Besiktas are however reluctant to go above £2.5million for the left-back, as negotiations require less haste with the Turkish arrival deadline not approaching until 11 February.
Koppen chase for Nicolo Bertola hits Inter Milan snag
Rangers’ efforts to sign Nicolo Bertola from Spezia may have hit the rocks due to Inter Milan’s interest in the defender, the Daily Mail reports (30 January).
The towering 21-year-old, whose contract with Spezia expires this summer, is high on the shopping list for Nils Koppen, but Inter are attempting to muscle their way in.
Rafael Fernandes, another centre-half, is so far the only arrival at Ibrox in the current window having joined on loan from Lille.
