Rangers transfer claim emerges as Sasa Zdjelar approach made
Rangers should not be too concerned with Sasa Zdjelar’s erratic game time for CSKA Moscow this season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that Gers will have to factor in the extra time it will take for the midfielder to adapt to life in Scotland.
This comes after Gers have made an approach to CSKA Moscow regarding the 29-year-old’s availability. [Daily Mail, 9 January]
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “Zdjelar seems to have been in and out of the playing eleven this season.
“I’m not sure if it would be a concern ahead of a potential transfer, unless his fitness testing is really poor, but it’s certainly something the club have to factor in when understanding his adaptation process and runway to contributing impact minutes on the pitch and potential injury risks.
“They’ll also likely factor in the extra adaption period as he’ll be coming from a foreign league.“
Rangers are unlikely to sign Sasa Zdjelar
At 29, the Serbian is already past his prime and does not fit into the kind of player the club want to sign.
The approach in recent windows has been to go for younger players with a high resale value.

That unfortunately is not the case with Zdjelar which makes this move a non starter to begin with.
In other Rangers news, a fresh development has emerged on Nikola Katic’s return to Ibrox before the transfer window shuts.
