Rangers ‘to open spot’ for deadline-busting new transfer before February 3
Rangers may open up another loan spot to seal another late new transfer before the 3 February deadline, Dan Plumley has said.
With a meeting held over the possible termination of Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s spell at Ibrox after his serious injury, a spot could be available (Feyenoord Pings, 19 January).
Plumley, a football finance expert, admits that will be taken into consideration by Nils Koppen, who has already signed Rafael Fernandes on loan from Lille this month.
“It could,” he exclusively told Ibrox News when asked if it could lead to another signing.
“That’s the other side of it, a number of loan spots are available so that will be in their considerations as well.
“If you’ve got a loan player who is injured and you’re not going to think about that option-to-buy and that player cannot play at the minute anyway, then it does free you up.
Rangers to seal brand new late transfer
“There are a lot of considerations within that, not just for the player in question, but the wider squad in this window and moving forward.”

This will certainly be one to watch over the coming days at Ibrox.
While Kasanwirjo has not officially left the club yet, the possibility of his loan being terminated has been mentioned and would make great sense.
Even if he did leave now, a permanent deal in the summer could still be possible and agreed upon, but it would be a risk, as Chris Jack suggested.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have been offered this player on a loan-to-buy deal.
