Rangers transfers: Chris Jack issues Jefte twist as Chelsea make contact
Rangers are yet to receive a bid from Chelsea for Jefte with the Premier League club keen on the left-back, according to Chris Jack.
The Rangers Review journalist reported on 27 January that the London outfit have made initial contact to gauge the availability of the Brazilian left-back.
Gers are also aware of interest shown by a number of clubs in Europe in the 21-year-old who has been viewed as one of their most sellable assets.
Rangers can hike up Jefte’s price amid transfer interest from Chelsea
According to Forbes, the net worth of Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is around £6.8billion and he has proven he does not mind investing in the club to make them return to the pinnacle of English and European football.
Thus, Gers can take advantage of this and hike up the Brazilian’s price who is doing relatively well at the age of 21.
There are games where he’s gone missing and been a defensive liability but he’s still considered a first-team regular by Philippe Clement.
That said, if Chelsea were willing to offer anything north of £10million for him, Gers may agree to cash in on the left-back.
Ridvan Yilmaz has proven to be a more than able deputy and with that money, the club can not only sign another left-back who’s better but also strengthen other areas.

Whether or not, Chelsea make a bid for Jefte in the coming days, remains to be seen.
In other Rangers news, a billionaire-owned club have taken initial steps to sign a Gers star player ahead of the transfer deadline.
