Rangers ace Hamza Igamane wanted by Aston Villa in new transfer twist
Aston Villa have made checks on Rangers striker Hamza Igamane ahead of the transfer deadline, according to TBR.
The news outlet reported on 26 January that Gers’ chances of retaining the 22-year-old’s services are slim, as things stand.
The Moroccan has become Philippe Clement’s go to man this season, scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.
Aston Villa can lure Hamza Igamane out of Rangers by offering Champions League football
Villa play in the Champions League and are also competing for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
They will offer him the chance to play in the world’s best domestic league and also ensure he gets a decent pay hike.
Igamane himself has revealed that he has loftier ambitions and it’s going to be hard for the Ibrox outfit to retain his services.
However, he will not get regular game time at Villa Park with Ollie Watkins and Jhon Duran the go to strikers for Unai Emery.
Unless Duran leaves, there is no incentive for the Moroccan to leave but the lure of playing in the Premier League might tempt him.

Gers fans will be anxious over the next few days as they would not want their side to lose their key player this close to the deadline.
In other Rangers news, a first-team player has told his agents he wants to leave and a new Ibrox deal is not ruled out yet.
