Dujon Sterling injury: Rangers ‘frustration’ emerges after Ibrox latest
Dujon Sterling is a “frustrating” figure due to his injury issues at Rangers, Stevie Clifford says.
The Four Lads Had A Dream man shared his disappointment with the English defender’s unavailability at Ibrox after his recent fitness struggles.
Clifford doesn’t feel the 25-year-old can be considered a potential successor to James Tavernier as he’s unreliable.
Speaking on The Rangers Review (27 January), the Four Lads editor said: “Sterling is such a frustrating one because he never seems to be fit.
“It’s such a difficult one because I don’t remember him having a run of games that we could look at and say he could be Tavernier’s successor.”

Sterling seemed to have finally cemented his place in the starting line-up due to the injury crisis at centre-back, but the Englishman was subsequently sidelined as well.
The 25-year-old picked up a knock as the Light Blues drew 3-3 against Hibernian on 5 January away from home.
Philippe Clement had to rely on the right-back to play as a central defender as John Souttar and Leon Balogun were out of action.
Sterling has joined the two in the Rangers treatment room, with Clinton Nsiala partnering with Robin Propper in recent matches.
Tavernier has found himself in and out of the starting side this season, as there have been calls from the fanbase to move on from the captain.
While the 33-year-old is in the latter stages of his career, there seems to be no reliable option to replace him, with Ridvan Yilmaz playing on the right-hand side of the defence in the last few games.
Neraysho Kasanwirjo was seen as a future prospect at right-back, but he picked up an injury as well in November, with his loan spell likely cut short.
Once Sterling comes back fully fit, there’s no doubt he can make a place for himself again at Ibrox.
