Rangers transfer claim emerges on Timothy Fosu-Mensah signing
Rangers will be looking out for potential red flags if they are to seal the free transfer of Timothy Fosu-Mensah, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that as he had major fitness issues last season and has not played senior football this time around, there could be lingering issues due to multiple problems with his knee.
This comes after Wales Live reported on 21 January that Gers have been offered the chance to sign the 27-year-old former Manchester United defender.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He had major injury issues last season and things are not ideal this season either as he’s not played professionally with him being a free agent.
“The potential red flags Rangers will look for are any lingering issues with his knee considering he has multiple episodes of knee injuries and then also what his fitness levels look like.
“It is undoubtedly a risk signing someone who’s had fitness issues and no recent first-team experience.“
Rangers must avoid signing Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Even though he’s got 47 Premier League appearances under his belt, his fitness record is abysmal and it’s not a risk Gers should be taking.
Despite his potential arrival on a free transfer, there are no guarantees that he’ll remain injury free for a long period of time.

Also, the club have already signed Rafael Fernandes and are unlikely to sign two defenders in the same window.
In other Rangers news, a Gers first-team player has told his agents that he wants to seal a permanent exit from Ibrox.
