Jefte does ‘worst thing possible’ for Rangers v Dundee United
Craig Levein criticised Jefte for his defending during a moment of “panic” as Rangers defeated Dundee United 3-1 on Sunday.
The Gers made a poor start at Tannadice as they went 1-0 down against the Tangerines after 19 minutes through a Sam Dalby goal.
Jefte was unable to finish the game and was taken off in the 29th minute due to an injury but not before he was accused of doing “the worst thing possible” by former United boss Levein.
Speaking live on BBC Sportsound (26 January), Levein said: “They’re verging on a bit of panic here.
“The ball comes into the box and it was at the back post but he didn’t even look around him.
“He probably could have let it go and it would have ran out for a throw-in for Rangers, but he decided to put it behind for a corner and that’s the worst thing he could possibly do.”
Rangers come out on top at Dundee United
Although the Light Blues came out on top, Rangers’ early performance showed signs that have been too familiar to the Gers faithful this term.
Jefte did look panicked and his decision making suggested that was indeed the case on Sunday (26 January) too.
With this Light Blues side there seems to be a lack of leadership on the pitch as well as a lack of communication between the squad which can leave players making silly errors that can cost goals at times.

The mentality of Philippe Clement’s squad has been questioned plenty of times throughout the campaign so far given the gulf between them and Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and struggling to do the basics, is only going to add to those suggestions.
It’s another three points on the board for Clement’s side which is the most important thing, especially against the side sitting third in the table. The key now is for the Gers to build off this.
In other Rangers news, the current transfer model at Ibrox is absolutely disgraceful as £10million news emerges at Celtic.
