Dundee United v Rangers: Nick Walsh caught in ‘Disgusting’ controversy
Nick Walsh was “embarrassing” for sending Mohamed Diomande off as Rangers beat Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership, Four Lads Had A Dream shared.
The referee handed the Gers midfielder a red card in stoppage time for what looked like a tame shove on Kevin Holt at Tannadice Park on Sunday (26 January).
VAR called over Walsh to potentially reconsider his decision but he stuck with his original call as the match ended 3-1 after a later Cyriel Dessers goal.
Four Lads wrote on their X account (26 January): “Walsh, genuinely a cheat, that is embarrassing.”
They added: “I can’t believe he sticks with that. That is never a red card. Disgusting from Walsh.”
Mohamed Diomande unlucky to get red in Rangers win v Dundee United
Diomande was one of the best players on the pitch for the Light Blues after a poor start in the first half.
Sam Dalby opened the scoring for the Tangerines in the 19th minute before the Ivory Coast international equalised for the Bears just before the break.
Philippe Clement’s team came out all guns blazing after the opening 45 minutes, with Robin Propper giving the Glaswegian outfit the lead early in the second half.
Rangers had to contend with a few defensive challenges, but Dessers sealed the three points in the 86th minute.

The Gers will seemingly want to appeal the red card decision, with Diomande one of the key players at Ibrox this season.
It remains to be seen what the Scottish FA will decide if the Light Blues look to overturn the decision at Tannadice Park.
The Bears have been poor away from home this season, but fans will take some encouragement from the comeback against Dundee United.
Union Saint-Gilloise are up next for the Glaswegian outfit in the Europa League on Thursday (30 January).
