Ridvan Yilmaz transfer: Rangers not happy as new bid sent to Ibrox
Rangers were not satisfied as Besiktas made a bid to sign Ridvan Yilmaz in the winter transfer window, according to Turkiye Today.
The news outlet reports (25 January) that the Turkish outfit’s loan offer with a buy option has not been well received by the Gers.
While the Light Blues are open to selling the full-back, his value has increased to £5million after impressive performances in recent weeks.
Besiktas President Serdal Adali is keen to bring the defender back to Istanbul and is personally involved in the deal to convince the Glaswegian outfit.
Rangers should not sanction Ridvan Yilmaz transfer to Besiktas
It would be prudent for the Bears to hold off on sanctioning the sale of Yilmaz before the 3 February deadline.
In recent weeks, Philippe Clement has seen the impact injuries have had on his squad, especially in the backline, with the Turkish left-back forced to play on the right.
The Gers need to keep hold of their defenders for now as they embark on finding the season on a high note in the Europa League and the Scottish Cup.
Rangers have relied on Yilmaz to play in multiple positions recently, with the 23-year-old playing on the left-hand side of the attack against Manchester United on Thursday (23 January).

The Light Blues almost got a point at Old Trafford, but Bruno Fernandes’ storage time winner gave the hosts the three points in the 2-1 victory.
Yilmaz is seemingly an important backup option at full-back for Clement and it wouldn’t make sense for the Bears to sell him before the 3 February deadline.
A transfer next summer should be ideal for both parties.
