Rangers repair update shared after Storm Eowyn Ibrox damage
Rangers have begun repairs to Ibrox after it was damaged by Storm Eowyn, according to the Daily Record.
Severe weather conditions around the UK caused the roof to come off the Gers’ home ground as footage emerged on X (24 January) showing parts flying away due to strong winds.
On Saturday (25 January), cranes were in operation outside the main stand, with repair work underway.
The Bears have time to fix the issues at Ibrox as they face Dundee United at Tannadice Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday (26 January).
Rangers game v Dundee United not impacted by Storm Eowyn damage to Ibrox
While Celtic had to postpone their game against Dundee at Parkhead on Saturday due to the damage caused by the storm [Daily Record, 25 January], the Light Blues’ fixture will still potentially go ahead.
This will give the Bears a chance to claw back on the 13-point deficit with their Old Firm rivals at the top of the league table.
While it’s unlikely that the Gers will be able to catch up to Brendan Rodgers’ team, a win over the Tangerines will undoubtedly give Philippe Clement’s team much-needed confidence.
Rangers face Union Saint-Gilloise on Thursday (30 January) as they look to cement their place in the play-offs for the knockout stages of the Europa League.

The Glaswegian outfit will return to Ibrox in February and arguably have enough time to fix whatever damage has been done by Storm Eowyn.
Clement will seemingly be hopeful of getting positive results in the coming weeks as they have a relatively straightforward schedule.
