Hamza Igamane exit: More clubs ‘take notice’ of Rangers ace v Manchester United
Hamza Igamane will be attracting interest from more clubs for impressing for Rangers against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday, according to Andy Walker.
The Gers succumbed to a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat against United in the UEFA Europa League on 23 January, but Igamane left Walker, as well as Craig Moore, impressed once again.
Moore dubbed the Moroccan a “serious player” and insisted that the Glasgow giants will struggle to retain his services for long.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show (Friday, 24 January), Moore said: “Rangers are going to do really well to keep a hold of Igamane. This boy is a serious player
Walker, meanwhile, is certain that more and more clubs will be taking note of the Rangers hitman.
Walker: “I thought he was very good last night [ed. Thursday] and he will have attracted a lot of interest just with his strength, his imagination, his power.
“He’s got a lot to offer and he’s the type of player that I’m sure a lot of people took notice of last night.”
Hamza Igamane to leave Rangers?
Rangers signed Igamane from Moroccan club AS Far Rabat for £2.5million in the summer [Scottish Sun] and could now sell him for a hefty profit.
The Light Blues have not sold anyone for over £10m since pocketing £19.6m from Calvin Bassey’s sale to Ajax in 2022 [Sky Sports].
However, if everything goes to plan, Igamane could be the next player to fetch the Ibrox outfit such a sum in the transfer market, although that is unlikely to be the case this year.
The 22-year-old has to continue his development in Govan for at least another season to possibly become the £10m player that would significantly boost the club’s finances.

It would not be a surprise if the Gers are forced to cash in on Igamane before that, though.
He is their most sellable asset as things stand, having bagged 13 goals and three assists in 26 appearances across all competitions this season.
