Rangers transfers: New Leon Belcar claim emerges
Rangers will need to go the extra mile to help Varazdin midfielder Leon Belcar adapt to his new surroundings should they sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that as he’s not played in another European league, he will be at some risk of injury once he moves to a more physically demanding league amid links to Gers.
It’s understood that the Ibrox outfit will have to pay £650k to secure the services of the 23-year-old. [Scottish Sun, 2 January]
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “As he’s not played anywhere else in Europe, the key for him to adapt in Scotland is bringing him along gradually and allowing him to adapt to the physical and mental standards required.
“Any support the club can provide for a player in a new environment will always be helpful as well.
“These things are essential as the club would want to avoid putting him at risk of any immediate injuries.“
Rangers must avoid signing Leon Belcar in this transfer window
The 23-year-old may not be an immediate upgrade on the options at the club and that’s not something Philippe Clement would want.
Having secured the services of Rafael Fernandes, the club may now look to sign either a midfielder or an attacker before the window closes.

Belcar may be worth keeping tabs on but not someone the club should sign in the coming days.
In other Rangers news, a fresh claim has emerged as a Premier League player wants to move to Ibrox in the January transfer window.
