Rangers transfer twist as latest Isaac Price news emerges

Isaac Price has attracted interest from Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, according to Express & Star.

However, the newspaper reported via their website on 20 January that the midfielder is closing in on a £2.5million move to West Brom in a blow to the Light Blues.

Preston North End have also been interested in the 21-year-old, who is jetting into the UK to seal his switch to The Hawthorns after featuring in Standard Liege’s 2-1 win against Sint-Truidense on Sunday, 19 January.

Rangers miss out on Isaac Price as January transfer window enters final stretch

We are 20 days into the winter transfer window and Rangers have made just one addition to their squad, bringing in Rafael Fernandes on loan from Lille.

The Gers need not panic yet as the window runs until 3 February, but they still need to act quickly if they want to bolster their ranks for the second half of the season.

While Price would have been an attractive addition to Philippe Clement’s midfield, the Glasgow giants might have another idea in mind.

Rangers are closing in on signing Lyall Cameron from Dundee this month despite earlier eyeing a summer transfer, according to Chris Jack on 16 January.

The 22-year-old would add Scottish Premiership experience to the Light Blues’ engine room, unlike Price.

Cameron has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Dundee this season, bagging eight goals and seven assists. In comparison, Price has none, although he is a deeper-lying midfielder.
