Rangers ace Nico Raskin sends message to Leeds United star after what he did
Rangers star Nico Raskin expressed his delight at Largie Ramazani scoring for Leeds United in their 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
Ramazani took to Instagram to aim a dig at the Owls after scoring Leeds’ second as they cruised past their Yorkshire rivals in the Championship at Elland Road on 19 January, writing, “See you Wednesday” along with a waving hand emoji.
Scott McTominay was among those who tipped their hats to the 23-year-old in comments under the post, while Raskin also chimed in.
“Merci bien [trans. Thank you very much]”, the Rangers midfielder, who has played with Ramazani for Belgium at various age levels, wrote.
Philippe Clement gives Nico Raskin rest at Rangers
Rangers, meanwhile, were also in action on Sunday, earning a thumping 5-0 victory over Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup.
Raskin was named in the squad for the game but was one of three unused substitutes as Philippe Clement essentially decided to rest him after making him play the full 90 minutes in five of the Light Blues’ last six games.
The midfielder has a good relationship with Ramazani as they started playing together for Belgium at the age of 17.
For those wondering why Scotland international McTominay commented under the Leeds United star’s post, the two spent time together at Manchester United before the winger’s departure in 2020.

Speaking of United, Raskin is expected to come back into the starting line-up when Rangers visit Old Trafford in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, 23 January.
The Belgian will be hopeful of helping Clement’s side cause an upset over the Premier League giants after remaining an unused substitute at the weekend.
In other Rangers news, Keith Jackson has revealed his prediction for the game against Manchester United in a “terrific” verdict.
