Rangers transfer news: Ryan Kent medical update shared

Ryan Kent may have issues passing his Rangers medical amid his lack of game time this season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he will have fitness and rhythm deficits and extra parameters will need to be considered if Gers are to secure his services on a free.

Turkish outlet BBO Sports reported on 2 January that the Ibrox outfit were plotting a reunion with the 28-year-old this month.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “The key factors are that he hasn’t played much football so he will have fitness and rhythm deficits from not playing matches.

Bringing him back too soon would be the most common cause of medical issues.

So, the club will have to check out certain parameters as there’s always the risk of issues arising with his medical.

Rangers must not re-sign Ryan Kent

Kent’s career failed to take off after he left Ibrox and his best spell was undoubtedly when he was in Glasgow.

However, he is no longer the player capable of terrifying defences and his lack of game time is a significant factor against signing him.

Hopefully, Gers bring in a striker in the January transfer window rather than a wide attacker.

In other Rangers news, the club can now secure a last-gasp hijack as a defender fails to agree a deal elsewhere.
