Marko Soldo makes Rangers transfer admission after recent news
Marko Soldo wants to remain at Osijek until the end of the season amid interest from Rangers.
The 21-year-old midfielder is focused on his goals at the Croatian outfit with the Gers looking at a deal which could cost up to £2.5million (Rangers News).
Despite links to the Light Blues, the youngster isn’t listening to the noise around his future and will only consider his next steps in the summer.
Speaking to Glas Slavonije (15 January), Soldo said: “I am enjoying Osijek. I have really settled in well. The team, working conditions and environment are excellent. So, at the moment, I really have no reason to think about leaving.
“Until the summer, I am clear-headed and focused only on the club’s goals that we need to achieve. Then we will see what will happen. I cannot talk in advance now. I am living in a good moment.
“I want to continue to give my maximum in every game and every training session, and when we draw the line under this season, then we will think about what and how to do next.”
Will Marko Soldo be a Rangers player in the transfer window?
It looks like the Croatian midfielder has no desire to leave Osijek in the coming weeks, making any approach from the Bears arguably futile.
The Gers could do with strengthening their engine room before the 3 February deadline, but it isn’t a priority for now, considering all the defensive injuries.
Nicolas Raskin has emerged as one of the Light Blues’ best players this season, with Philippe Clement relying on him a lot in recent weeks.
Soldo’s profile is similar to that of the Rangers ace, with his taller figure and preference for playing the number six position.

The Croatian defensive midfielder can also play as a centre-back, which is the sort of versatility the Gers desperately need at the moment.
Connor Barron is another option at Clement’s disposal, but the Scotsman looks more like a box-to-box midfielder than a defensive option.
Soldo seems to have a lot of potential, but will he play at Ibrox in the coming future? Only time will tell.
