Joshua Barrie shares what Union Bears did in Rangers win v Aberdeen
The Union Bears held up a banner expressing that second place is not acceptable for Rangers during their game against Aberdeen, Joshua Barrie shared via social media.
It’s been a poor season for the Gers so far and despite picking up their form somewhat, they currently sit 13 points behind leaders and rivals Celtic.
The Light Blues supporters have not been shy in their criticism of the Rangers board and some supporters staged a silent protest and a walkout during their win against St Johnstone on Sunday (12 January).
The Union Bears supporter group did not end their protest there either and Joshua Barrie shared on X the banner held during their 3-0 win against Aberdeen on Wednesday (15 January) which read: “Rangers FC – Do not enter unless you’re ready to put yourself second and that should be the one and only time second is good enough for you.”
Supporters unhappy with Philippe Clement at Rangers
Philippe Clement has failed to deliver consistently during his time with Rangers so far and the Light Blues have been characterised by inconsistency and underwhelming performances throughout the campaign.
Nevertheless, CEO Patrick Stewart publicly backed the Belgian recently after questions over his future at Ibrox which has left many feeling disappointed.
The Gers are in an awkward position as they are so far behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership that sacking the manager wouldn’t change the trajectory of their campaign.

That being said, the 50-year-old seems to struggle to get into the expected mindset set at Ibrox which has left many supporters feeling as though they are going nowhere as it stands.
The supporters have made it clear that second place should never be seen as a success for Rangers and the message will surely have been received by the board who have some vital decisions to make over the future of the Gers.
