Ianis Hagi stuns BBC pundit after what he did in Rangers 3-0 Aberdeen
Willie Miller was stunned by one Ianis Hagi moment in particular as Rangers secured a 3-0 victory against Aberdeen.
Rangers secured three points at home to Aberdeen at Ibrox on Wednesday (15 January) and Hagi played a crucial role in achieving that.
The Gers were tipped to offload the Romanian playmaker, but after his performance against Aberdeen, those thoughts may be on hold with Miller stunned by what he did in the game.
Speaking via BBC Sportsound [15 January, 9:19 pm], Miller, in response to a narrowly missed opportunity, said: “Ianis Hagi takes a perfect touch. He knows exactly where he wants to put it – the top-left corner. He’s so unlucky.”
Rangers can’t afford to offload Ianis Hagi
It’s been a dismal season for the Light Blues this time round but, if they are to have any hopes of turning that around, Hagi must be at the forefront of it.
Alongside Hamza Igamane, who scored yet again for Rangers, the pair have the attacking quality needed to win games and that was on full show on Wednesday.
Hagi possesses an immense creative ability, and in games where that moment of quality is needed, he can provide it. But if his future is to be up in the air, it simply won’t get the best out of him.

He needs to know his importance to the side and that starts with Philippe Clement, who has been guilty of somewhat mistreating the midfielder.
With a consistent run of games, Hagi can become the most important player at Ibrox. If he was to depart, it would leave a significant hole in the team.
