Tom English reacts as ‘Rangers agenda’ pushed by Celtic fan

Tom English has hit back at a Celtic supporter who accused him of pushing a Rangers agenda.

The Hoops fan accused the BBC Scotland journalist after their 3-3 draw with Dundee on 14 January, which gives the Gers a chance to reduce the gap to 13 points when they face Aberdeen.

Philippe Clement is under immense pressure ahead of the Dons’ trip to Ibrox on 15 January, but Patrick Stewart has recently backed him publically.

Responding to the Celtic fan in a post on X, English wrote: “Damn. Rumbled…”

Rangers board under severe pressure

The Gers board could use somebody to defend themselves at the moment as pressure mounts over the decision to keep Clement in the dugout.

Newly-appointed CEO Stewart has given the Belgian reassurances that his job is safe but reminded him that results must improve.

The Union Bears group decided to stage a walkout in the 55th minute of the 3-1 win over St. Johnstone on 12 January in protest at how the Ibrox club is being run.

The gesture was booed by a large section of supporters that remained in the stadium and has caused tensions within the fanbase.

The board needs to ensure that these tensions do not boil over, otherwise, they will have serious problems on their hands as fans could refuse to attend matches to make their point known.

They need to do something to unite the fanbase together, whether that is in support of the manager or his replacement, remains to be seen.

Regardless of what Celtic and their fans are saying, Rangers need to stick together right now.

In other Rangers news, Rabbi Matondo could be set to leave the club with a loan deal almost agreed upon.
