Rangers v Aberdeen: BBC pundit lauds ‘Magnificent’ Vaclav Cerny
James McFadden waxed lyrical over Rangers attacker Vaclav Cerny’s first touch against Aberdeen on Wednesday night.
The Czech Republic international received a long ball and despite being pressurised by the Dons defence, he managed to calmly control it.
Hamza Igamane opened the scoring for the hosts at Ibrox on 15 January which was deserved given how well they started the game.
Speaking on the SPFL world feed on 15 January, McFadden, a BBC pundit, said: “Magnificent from Cerny.”
Philippe Clement needs to win this game to save his Rangers job
Gers have been exceptional at home under Clement and it’s their away form that’s led to such a huge gap to Celtic on the table.
However, if the Belgian fails to guide his side to a victory here, the pressure will ramp up and Ibrox may turn into an extremely toxic place.
The board will then be left with no choice but to act on it and part ways with Clement as he’s clearly not managing to get a tune out of his players.
Thus far, the club have looked sharp in the first half and they could’ve scored another goal or two.
What matters is whether or not they can go on to increase their lead if they get too defensive, there’s every chance of them conceding a goal.

Hopefully, for the Ibrox faithful, they come out stronger in the second half and grab a quick goal to create some daylight.
