Cyriel Dessers exit claim shared by Chris Sutton after Rangers v Aberdeen
Chris Sutton believes that Philippe Clement will not be in a rush to get Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers out of the door.
Gers beat Aberdeen 3-0 at Ibrox on 15 January and Dessers came off the bench to score the third goal late in stoppage time.
The Nigeria international has been linked with an exit from Ibrox in the January transfer window. [TEAMtalk, 10 January]
Speaking on Sky Sports Football after the game, Sutton said on 15 January at 10:18pm: “If they can strengthen in other areas. I don’t think Philippe Clement will be in a rush to get Cyriel Dessers out.”
Rangers were not clinical against Aberdeen
Gers had several chances to put this game to bed but did not show that cutting edge in front of goal until late on.
Had Aberdeen been at it from minute one, Clement’s side could’ve been in for an extremely tough evening.
The Dons were the underdogs and despite going a goal down, did not show any intention to throw caution to the wind.
It was a very measured approach from Jimmy Thelin’s side and it was a strategy that did not pay off in the end.
His side ended up conceding two late goals so being in the game for that long did not really make any difference.

Hopefully, Gers can build on this performance and go on to have a run of seven to eight wins on the spin.
