Rangers risk ridicule over Nicolas Raskin social media post
Nico Raskin was spotted wearing an old Rangers jacket ahead of their victory against St Johnstone, with fans very quick to point out the sighting that leaves the Gers open to ridicule.
Philippe Clement’s side secured a 3-1 victory against St Johnstone on 12 January, which did little other than paper over the growing cracks at Ibrox.
Fans continued to showcase their discontent at the day-to-day running of the club and an image shared on social media by Rangers will only add to those concerns.
Ahead of the clash, Raskin was pictured wearing an old Rangers jacket [Rangers on X], and supporters didn’t let it slide without a mention with plenty using it as further ammunition to fire at the hierarchy.
The reasoning behind it is unknown, but it led some supporters to look at the financial concerns at Ibrox as a potential cause. Whatever it is, it isn’t a good look.
Rangers mess continues to spill over
While there are positives to take from the win, it can’t be used as a distraction from many ongoing concerns at the club that are refusing to go away.
The Gers have been completely mismanaged and the protests by supporters are warranted, with the club seemingly dropping to a new low each and every week.
On the face of it, a player wearing an old jacket may not seem like a big deal, but it’s just a showcase of their lack of professionalism when it comes to things off the pitch.
It can’t be forgotten that things haven’t been going to plan on the pitch either, having suffered defeat in the final of the Scottish League Cup while finding themselves an embarrassing 15 points behind Celtic in the title race.
Things need to change at Ibrox, and fast. Rangers are becoming somewhat of a laughing stock, with the amount of concerns and errors being made across all areas of the club.
