Rangers transfer news: Bamo Meite medical update emerges

Marseille defender Bamo Meite can still join Rangers despite suffering an injury in January, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that if Gers are comfortable with the nature of the injury sustained in January and check out ahead of the medical, he will not have any issues clearing it.

This comes after Telefoot journalist Saber Desfarges reported that the Ibrox outfit are exploring the possibility of signing the 23-year-old centre-back in January.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “This comes down to the specifics of the foot injury.

If it’s something that Rangers are comfortable with, then they can still go ahead and sign him.

If it’s more complex and worrisome, then it could impact their interest in him.

If they check out the injury and are fine with it, the medical should go as planned provided there are no outliers that pop up.

Rangers will be taking a big risk if they sign Bamo Meite

It takes players weeks after they return from injury to come back to full fitness and that’s the risk Gers will be taking.

He already will be moving to another league in a different country so it might take him some while to adapt.
